Beyond Possible Day 5 - May 3

Let’s prayerfully reflect on Genesis chapter 3. This reading may cause sorrow to fill
your heart and mind as you reflect on the consequences of Adam and Eve’s sin
which we feel even to this day. The Lord created us to live ‘beyond possible,’ yet
we as mankind chose our own way which leads us to a limited life affected by sin.

Let’s zero into V. 15 – “I will put hostility between you and the woman
and between your offspring and her offspring. He will strike your head,
and you will strike his heel.” The context is the Lord speaking to the serpent
(Satan). The woman’s promised seed is ultimately the Messiah, our Lord Jesus
Christ. What hopeful promise for us does this verse give?

Pause to express Your heart in prayer – “Heavenly Father, You promised the seed
of the woman, Your beloved Son, would strike the serpent’s head. I worship You
that on Your Son’s cross and through His empty tomb Satan has been
crushed and defeated. I recognize You have made possible what was ‘beyond
possible’ by redeeming/ rescuing me by the blood of Your Son, for I worship You in
Jesus’ name, Amen!”
