Galatians Devotional - February 8

John 9 & Galatians 1
As we continue our week of reading in Galatians 1, we reflect on the life-changing power of Jesus. Tomorrow’s sermon is titled “I AM CHANGED”, and we see this transformation beautifully in John 9—the story of the man born blind.
Read & Reflect
John 9:25 – “One thing I do know: I was blind, and now I see!”
In John 9, Jesus heals a man who was born blind, giving him physical sight but also spiritual clarity. The religious leaders questioned him, demanding to know who he thought he was after his encounter with Jesus. But the man didn’t need a theological argument—he simply testified to the undeniable truth: “I was blind, but now I see.” Like Paul in Galatians 1, whose life was radically changed by an encounter with Christ, this blind man could never be the same again.
Reflection Questions
- Do you have that same story of how Jesus changed you?
- What was your life like before Jesus opened your eyes?
- How has knowing Christ transformed the way you see the world?
- If someone asked you “Who do you think you are?” how would you testify to the change Jesus has made in you?
Prayer
Jesus, Thank You for opening my eyes to Your truth and transforming my life. Like the blind man, I once was lost in darkness, but now I see Your grace and truth clearly. Help me to walk in this new vision, reflecting Your light to others. May my life be a testimony to Your power to change and restore.
In Your name, Amen.
Action Step
- Write your own “I was blind, but now I see” statement.
- How has Jesus changed your life?
- Share your testimony with someone who needs to hear about His life-changing power. Because of Jesus, you are CHANGED!
- How will you live out that transformation today?
