Galatians Devotional - February 13

Read & Reflect
Let’s prayerfully read Galatians 2 (The rhythm of repetition helps to focus the mind, creating a space for contemplation and connection with the text).
  • What new highlight stands out to you?
  • How would you explain this to a friend?
  • What application might this have in your life?
Zoom Into Galatians 2:15-16
Paul boldly declares that we are justified by faith in Christ, not by works of the law.
Reflection Questions:
  • What does it mean to rely completely on Jesus for your salvation, rather than your own efforts or achievements?
    __________________________________________.
  • What does the truth that you are justified before God by faith alone in Christ do to your heart?
    __________________________________________.
  • Do you sometimes fall into the trap of thinking you need to earn God’s approval?
  • How does the truth of justification by faith bring you freedom?
    __________________________________________.
  • How might the above insights challenge some of your misconceptions of God?
“Sadly, I sometimes mistakenly see God as ________________.”
Prayer
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for the gift of salvation through faith in Christ. Help me to rest in Your grace rather than striving for acceptance through works. Teach me to trust in what Jesus has already accomplished, rather than trying to earn Your love through my own efforts.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Action Step
  • Write down any thoughts, habits, or attitudes where you tend to rely on your own effort instead of trusting in Christ.
  • Surrender those to God in prayer and ask Him to help you live fully in His grace.
  • How will you live in the freedom of justification by faith this week?
