A Church That Transforms Culture

Read: Romans 12

Key Verse: Romans 12:2

Inductive Questions:
  • What does it mean to be transformed rather than conformed? (Example: Conforming might look like following social media trends to seek validation, while transformation means letting God reshape your values so your confidence and purpose come from Him, not the world. It’s a shift from external pressure to internal renewal.)
  • How does God's Word renew your mind? (Example: God’s Word replaces lies with truth. When you’re stuck in patterns like fear, comparison, or shame, Scripture reorients your thinking with God’s promises—reminding you of your identity in Christ, His constant presence, and the hope of transformation. Verses like Romans 8:1 or Psalm 139 can break cycles of negativity and align your mind with His truth.)
  • In what ways are you tempted to conform to the world? (Example: You may feel pressure to exaggerate your success to gain approval, join in gossip to fit in, or downplay your faith to avoid criticism. These are areas where transformation is needed, replacing cultural patterns with Christlike character.)

Prayer: Lord, renew my mind so I may be transformed into Your likeness. Help me stand firm in truth, especially when I'm tempted to compromise.

Reflection: I will renew my mind today by replacing ___________ with Your truth from
___________. I humbly pray in Jesus' name, Amen.
