The Word as a Mirror
Read: James 1
Key Verse: James 1:23-24 – “Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like someone who looks at his face in a mirror and, after looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like.”
Inductive Questions:
Prayer: Father, let me not forget what Your Word reveals. Help me to respond with faith and obedience.

- How does Scripture show us who we really are? (Just like a mirror reflects our physical appearance, Scripture reflects the condition of our heart. It reveals both our identity in Christ and areas that need correction. As we read it, we begin to see ourselves as God sees us—loved, but also called to grow and change.)
- What happens when we ignore what God reveals to us? (i.e. - ignoring God’s revelation leaves us spiritually stagnant, ineffective, and vulnerable to sin.)
- What is one truth God is showing you that you need to act on?
