Equipped for Every Good Work

Read: 2 Timothy 3

Key Verse: 2 Timothy 3:16-17 – “All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.”

Context & Explanation:
2 Timothy is a pastoral letter written by the Apostle Paul to his spiritual son, Timothy. It is considered Paul's final letter before his martyrdom and carries a tone of urgency, encouragement, and personal instruction. In chapter 3, Paul warns about growing godlessness in the last days and emphasizes the power and sufficiency of Scripture. He urges Timothy to stay rooted in the Word of God, which is inspired and profitable for teaching, correcting, and training—so that every believer may be equipped for faithful service.
