Welcome to Kids R.O.C.K.

(Kids Relying on Christ the King) – Our mission is to join with families in connecting parents and their children to Jesus Christ. All that we do in programming and activities is done with that goal in mind. Here are some of our offerings:

SUNDAY MORNINGS

We encourage families to worship together at our 9:00 am worship service.

At 10:30am, we offer connect groups for children in grades 1-5 using a curriculum called 252 Basics produced by Orange (www.whatisorange.org). 252 Basics is built around three basic truths which Jesus modeled in Luke 2:52.

They are:
  • I need to make the wise choice.
  • I can trust God no matter what.
  • I should treat others the way I want to be treated.
These key concepts are taught as we study monthly a different life application — a quality of God’s nature that He instills in those who follow Him. We have a large group time of upbeat worship in music and teaching, followed by small groups for application and discussion. Parents receive a monthly “cue card” so they can continue the discussion at home. Children receive a “God Time” card to guide them through personal devotions that week.

AWANA (Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed)

clubs are offered during the school year on Wednesday evenings from 6:30-7:45 for 2 years old-5th grades. Clubbers enjoy a high-energy game time on the AWANA circle, a large group teaching time, and small group handbook time where they earn awards for memorizing Scripture. AWANA is a tried and true program to reach children with the Gospel of Jesus Christ and train them to serve Him. (Online registration is closed. Please go to clubs on Wednesday to register)

GENERATIONS CHILDREN’S CHOIR

Our Kids’ choir ministry focuses on developing and equipping children to share god’s love with our community and church through weekly rehearsals and ministry performance opportunities and involves much more than singing.  Children learn how to express their love for God through music, dance, and drama. We help them develop musical skills and a heart for worship through rehearsals, musical productions, and leading worship in church throughout the year.
Rehearsal: Wednesday Evenings 5:45 – 6:30 PM
Location: The Garage (Worship Center Rehearsal Room) and Worship Center Stage
Other: There are no auditions to be a part of our kids’ choir program. We provide all music as well as online links for you to download the songs, videos, and music.

CHILDREN’S BAPTISM CLASSES

Offered four times per year to help parents determine whether or not their child is ready to be baptized. This class is recommended for children in grades 1 – 5 and requires that a parent (or guardian) attend the class with the child. We answer the following questions about baptism: Why should I get baptized? When should I be baptized? How should I be baptized?
Email Barbara for dates and to register.

SUMMER ACTIVITIES

During the summer, activities such as a Music & Drama Camp, sports camp, fishing camp, Bible camp, as well as family activities. We anticipate offering similar activities this upcoming summer.

FAMILY ACTIVITIES

Various family activities are scheduled throughout the year on or off campus like family camping on campus in January, end of school year celebration on campus in May, family swim night off campus during the summer, family hiking and cook-out off campus in the fall.

We love to welcome visitors and see them become a part of our family. Come, join us, and let’s grow together as we learn to love God and to love others!
