You, and every person you know, are attached to a family in some way. It doesn’t matter who you live with. Whether you are a single adult on your own, a student, or a child living at home. Every person is a parent, a spouse, a sibling, or a son or daughter. So, this conference is for you and everyone you know! Come enjoy delicious food and inspiring fun on Friday night. Then, return on Saturday morning to participate in practical workshops designed to help families grow strong.
FRIDAY NIGHT
6:00 – 7:00 pm Dinner will be served “Family Style” for the whole family.
7:00 – 9:00 pm Enjoy the comedy of Jeff Allen.
This is appropriate for everyone Grade 4 and up.
Children’s programming will be available after dinner for babies through children in Grade 3.
Jeff Allen combines clean, hilarious humor with inspiration. His favorite topic is families. He performs on television and radio, in night clubs and large churches, and as a keynote speaker for corporations. Jeff is a former atheist from Chicago’s South Side, who’s crawled across the grittiest comedy club floors in America to become an incredibly funny and inspiring comedian.
Jeff Allen has been doing comedy for four decades and his work has been seen on every cable comedy show in the U.S. including Comedy Central’s Premium Blend and VH1’s Standup Spotlight. (jeffallencomedy.com) He is one of the few comedians who can “kill ‘em” at a casino in Vegas and then bring down the house at the Baptist Youth Missionary Board... doing the exact same act. As Jerry Seinfeld said, “Funny is funny. Clean humor, if it’s good, works anywhere.” Jeff says he doesn’t need to change a thing from one venue to the other – although frequently his church appearances include inspiring testimony about his battle with the bottle and finding himself. The words may not change, but what has changed radically is the man who delivers them.
Dr. Chad Keck, Executive Pastor at Sarasota Baptist Church, says that bringing Jeff Allen to speak at an event at his former church in Texas was one of the best decisions he ever made. People are still talking about that conference.

Traveling pilgrims sang these psalms both on the way to the great festivals of the LORD and as key elements of the worship at those festivals. Just as a song or poem can express feelings of fear, doubt, hope, and joy, these 15 psalms model how we can voice our own petitions and praises to our God, who is always available and ready to hear us.
Explore the major feasts of Israel and journey with Beth through this 7-session study. Themes of unity, joy, gratitude, redemption, repentance, the power of blessings, facing ridicule, and more are explored in detail. Modern-day believers in Jesus Christ can learn much from these treasured Psalms in their journey toward greater intimacy with God.
Beth says, "I am expecting nothing less than a new level of relationship and intimacy with God through these psalms. I ask you to settle for nothing less as well. The more we unveil our faces to God and bare our souls to Him, expressing what is on our hearts, the safer we'll feel and the closer we'll draw to Him.Dates: Seven Wednesdays, September 8 - October 20
