Today we continue reading Dr. Luke’s writing from His Gospel to the Book of Acts. Notice in the opening verses how he continues to address a Roman official by the name of ‘Theopolis.’
Prayerfully reflect on Acts chapter 1. What is Jesus speaking to your heart from this chapter?
Focus on Jesus’ Words in Verse 8 – “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come on you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”
Jesus is commissioning you to live His mission of being a witness of His radiant Light, resurrected Life, and reconciling Love. What have you experienced that you can tell others concerning the Person of Jesus?
PRAY – “Lord Jesus, You have called me to be Your witness. May Your Spirit empower me to speak with others about Your love that is greater than hate; Your Light which dispels darkness from my heart; and Your Life which resurrects my dead heart to beat again. As I think of ____________________, I pray that You will give me courage to share the ‘3 Circles’ and see this one come to follow You, for I humbly pray in Jesus’ name, Amen!”
