Pray and ask the Spirit to show You His mission as you reflect on Acts chapter 10. What is God saying to You from this chapter?
Notice the how the Spirit awakened Cornelius to his need for the Good News of Jesus’ love & how the Spirit called Simon Peter to share the Gospel with Cornelius and his household. This resulted in the miraculous saving of an entire household.
PAUSE AND REFLECT on how Peter described Jesus to Cornelius in V. 38 - “God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, and how he went about doing good and healing all who were under the tyranny of the devil, because God was with him.”
Jesus was anointed by the Spirit and went about doing good. IMAGINE a world of followers of Jesus who are filled with the Spirit and ‘go about doing good’ expressing care.
ENGAGE your heart for someone who is hurting, lonely, experiencing disappointment. Pray for this one and express care.
“Father in heaven, my heart is moved with compassion for _____________ who is hurting. I pray Your Spirit to empower me to go about doing good to this one by _______________________, for I yield myself to You, In Jesus’ name, Amen!”
