Prayerfully read and reflect on Acts chapter 11. What was the controversy in the church all about? What decision was made by the early church? What is God saying to you from this chapter?
God is the Lord of the nations – i.e. – the Jews and the Gentiles. He shows no partiality. As you encounter people today, seek to see them the way God sees them, so you may be able to join God in loving them with His love.
PAUSE & CONSIDER – V. 15 – Peter reported that as He announced the Gospel to Cornelius and his household that the Holy Spirit came down on them.
PRAY – “Heavenly Father, You are calling me to live Jesus’ mission in my everyday life. I ask You to empower me to share the Gospel with _______________________. As I open my mouth to share, I ask that Your Spirit would come with power on their hearts as you did with the household of Cornelius, for I pray with a willing heart in Jesus’ name, Amen”
