As you read Isaiah chapters 19 & 20, you may be startled by what you read. What stands out to you?
‘Zoom in’ to 20:5 – “Those who made Cush their hope and Egypt their boast will be dismayed and ashamed.” This is a sad reality of not only trusting in unstable government powers but also placing confidence in false gods (money, power, postion, etc) . Contrast this to the promise of Romans 10:11 – “Everyone who believes on the Lord Jesus will not be put to shame.”
Write out a prayer to the Lord expressing your hope in Jesus – i.e. you will never be embarrassed or put to shame.
