Prayerfully and slowly muse on Isaiah chapters 59 & 60. As you think deeply on these chapters, what is the Lord saying to you? Realizing our Lord Jesus Christ is the Living Word who fulfills the prophesies of the written Word, do you see any fulfillment of these promises in Jesus’ coming? (See 60:6)
ZOOM IN to 59: 1, 2. Meditate on God’s power and eagerness to save us from our sins. “The Lord’s arm is not too weak to save and His ear not too deaf to hear.” What does this reality do to your heart? … As you reflect on V.2, what keeps us separated from God? Seek to experience the freshness of His forgiveness. Look in the mirror and remember you are BRAND NEW by faith in Jesus.
