EHM Devotional Day 11

Read prayerfully Ephesians chapter 3. What new insight did you gain from reading this chapter? What is God saying to you?

‘ZOOM IN’ to Vs.12 – “In Him (Jesus) we have boldness and confident access through faith in Him.” God is approachable; His arms are open wide as we come to Him in humble faith through the Lord Jesus.

Reflect on Jesus’ relationship with His disciples in the Gospel accounts. He was approachable, humble, and vulnerable in His relationship with them. Jesus provided security in His loving relationship with them.

Ask the Lord to make you like our Cornerstone, Jesus – approachable, humble, and safe. Pray this to be experienced in marriage, parenting, and friendships.

Who could benefit from you being accessible to them? Listen to the Lord and as He prompts, send them a text – “___________-, I look forward to spending time with you. How about a meeting next _______?”

I often Ask God to help me be more like Christ. As Christians the phrase "What would Jesus do?" Has become iconic, we strive for this mindset, knowing it is part of our sanctification on our journey here this side of heaven. Todays Zoom verse gave me a fresh and new breath from God. Am I approachable? Am I safe to be approached? Am I humble? In my most closet relationships I am not , I must admit. Does my husband feel safe coming to me or am I going to call him out on his areas of flaw, do I gossip with my friends about so and so? Do I grumble and complain about my work? The answer is I have a lot more sanctification that needs to happen in my pursuit to be more like Christ. Todays devotion reminded me of this and I am so thankful to God for this humble teaching.
