Let’s read and prayerfully reflect on 1 Peter chapter 1 for the second time. What stands out to you from today’s reading? Are there any parts of this chapter that you have a hard time receiving? Talk to God honestly about what you need, and how you feel.
‘ZOOM IN’ to Verses 6 – 7. Why do we suffer as believers? Notice our faith in trails is likened to ‘gold’ being refined by fire. Ultimately, our sufferings benefit us and “result in praise, glory, and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ.”
Pause and Pray – “Jesus, You are the Lord of my life, which includes the struggles and challenges I face. I give everyone and everything to You, and I humbly ask You to make me more like You through this season, Amen.”
Discuss with a friend – about a time of suffering in the past which you now see God used for your good and His glory.
The priority of your life is God’s glory. It’s not about you!
