Today is the Lord’s Day! Let’s prepare our hearts for what the Lord will speak to our hearts by reading Joshua, chapter 9 once again. We will experience from today’s message how to “Courageously fall forward” in our mistakes. What is something new that you learned from today’s reading?
‘Zero in’ on Vs. 19–20 – After the Israelite leaders learned of Gibeonite’s deception, their leaders said “We have sworn an oath to them by the Lord, the God of Israel, and now we cannot touch them. 20 This is how we will treat them: we will let them live, so that no wrath will fall on us because of the oath we swore to them.” Joshua and the Israelites practiced integrity by doing what they promised to do.
PAUSE to realize that you cannot ‘undo’ failures in the past, yet the Lord will lead you forward to obey Him in the present. Write a prayer expressing your commitment to do what is right in the Lord’s eyes – becoming a person of integrity.
