Let’s read the book of Jonah for the third time. What do you learn about Jonah’s heart? Can you identify with his struggles and challenges?
ZOOM IN to chapter 2 Vs. 2 – “I called to the Lord in my distress, and He answered me.
I cried out for help from deep inside Sheol; You heard my voice.”
Reflect on a time of distress from wrong choices. (Maybe this was recent time or maybe a present time). What does it mean to ‘call to the Lord’ in a season of distress?
Pause and Reflect – God not only hears your desperate prayers in distress, but He also prays for you. Imagine Jesus kneeling beside you, praying your prayer list – Romans 8:26- 27, 34. Express your heart to Jesus by writing a prayer in your journal.
