SENT Devotional Day 30 - August 29

Jonah is considered the “Prodigal Prophet” Let’s read Luke’s Gospel chapter 15 and reflect on God’s heart for the lost.

ZOOM-IN to Vs. 2 – to observe the criticism of Jesus - the Pharisees and scribes were complaining, “This man welcomes sinners and eats with them.” Then Jesus told the parables of the lost sheep, coin and son to illustrate His heart for the lost and broken sinners.

Encounter Jesus as the Friend of sinners. You are a sinner, and Jesus welcomes you to His family. He forgives and restores you. Pause and express your heart to Jesus for His open arms to accept you.

Question – Is your attitude toward sinful people more like Jesus or the Pharisees? As you think of people groups in spiritual darkness, what is your attitude toward them? Pause and pray for ‘sinners’ who are far away from God in unreached places. Pray along with this video - https://www.prayercast.com
