Holy anticipation is building in our hearts and church family for this week. Let’s read with expectation John’s Gospel chapter 16. What insights do you gain about Jesus being SENT by the Father into the world? What about us being SENT?
ZOOM IN to chapter 16 Vs.7–11 - “It is for your benefit that I go away, because if I don’t go away the Counselor will not come to you. If I go, I will send Him to you. When He comes, He will convict the world about sin, righteousness, and judgment: 9 About sin, because they do not believe in Me; 10 about righteousness, because I am going to the Father and you will no longer see Me; 11 and about judgment, because the ruler of this world has been judged.”
What is the role of the Holy Spirit?
What is our role as His messengers? (see Acts 1: 8)
PRAY – yielding to the Spirit’s role to convict others as He chooses, resisting expressions of condemnation.
