Let’s read & respond to the gospel of Luke, chapter 18.
ZOOM INTO Jesus’ encounter with the rich young ruler in Vs. 18 - 23. This young man had everything going for him, and he inquires of Jesus how he can inherit eternal life.
Why do you think Jesus instructed him “Sell all you possess and distribute it to the poor and you will have treasure in heaven. Then Come, Follow Me”?
PAUSE AND RESPOND –
How would you respond to Jesus if you were the ‘rich young ruler?’
“Lord Jesus, You have asked me to give my all to follow after You. My answer is ‘Yes, Lord!’ You are the Pearl of great price, for which I am willing to give everything to follow you, for I humbly yield my heart to you, Amen!”
