Let’s continue in our investigative journey by interviewing people in the Bible. Let’s ask Mary, the poor Jewish teen girl of the 1st Century; “Mary, What’s Christmas mean to you?” Prayerfully read & reflect on the Gospel of Luke chapter 1, verse 26 – 38.
Consider the emotions and thoughts Mary was experiencing when the Angel appeared to her. Prayerfully reflect how would she answer the investigative question. Write down your impressions as a prayer to God in your spiritual journal.
ZOOM IN to Verse 38. Join Mary with your heart to yield the Lord’s voice; pray with a humble heart, – “See, I am the Lord’s servant,” said Mary. “May it happen to me as you have said.”
Lead your heart to say, “Yes, Lord” before you know what He is asking you to do.
Let’s prayerfully look for opportunities to invite a neighbor to the Christmas festival happening this Friday & Sunday (December 1 & 3) or the Sarasota Christmas parade (December 2nd) Use these occasions to ask the ‘key question’ – “So what’s Christmas mean to you?”
