Let’s continue our investigative journey by asking the cousin of Jesus, John the Baptist– “John, What does Christmas mean to you?” Let’s prayerfully read & reflect on the Gospel of Luke chapter 1, verses 39 – 45 & also the Gospel of John chapter 1, verses 6 – 9, 19 - 34.
Write down impressions of how John the Baptist may have answered this question in your journal:
What does it do to your heart to know that ‘God has come near, Jesus is the sacrificial Lamb of God who takes away our sin?’
Write a prayer expressing your heart about the joy which occurs when considering the significance of God becoming flesh.
