Christmas Devotional Day 10 - December 4

Wow! Let’s pause to thank God for all He is doing in the church. This weekend has been amazing with many conversations about the meaning of Christmas. On this Monday, Let’s prayerfully reflect on the Gospel Luke chapter 2, verses 39 – 52.

Let’s think about the early development of Jesus as a child. He laughed, cried, experienced frustration and joy…. Imagine what it was like for Mary and Joseph to lose the location of their son and discover Him teaching in the Temple.

ZOOM INTO Verse 49 - Let’s ask Jesus Himself, “What’s Christmas mean to you?” Hear Him say, “Didn’t you know that it was necessary for me to be … about My Father’s will?”

Christmas means to Jesus coming to earth to do His Father’s will for our salvation.

How about you? Does Christmas mean to you – a delight in doing the Father’s will?

Consider some act of kindness toward a widow or fatherless child to express the Father’s compassionate heart toward the vulnerable. Prayerfully seek to experience the Scripture of James 1: 27. __________________________________________________
