Let’s read Proverbs chapter 14. Based on today’s reading, what is one thing God is saying to you? (Write your thoughts down in a journal.)
Let’s focus on V. 26 – “In the fear of the Lord one has strong confidence and his children have a refuge.” The greatest gift and opportunity we can give to our children is a growing and vibrant faith in our Lord Jesus Christ. This text promises it will give our children ‘security’ like refuge from a storm.
Practice God’s presence by thinking of His attributes which cause you to be in awe. (His power as you behold a sunrise… His wisdom as you marvel at His creation of the human body… His holiness as you consider how He is unlike any other.. and so on.) Sense ‘strong confidence’ growing within you as you honor Him.
Parenting IRL challenge: Share with your children the attributes you most admire about the Lord and why.
