Let’s continue to hear Jesus’ prophesy about His second coming to earth by reading and reflecting on Matthew chapter 25 using the H.E.A.R. method. As you read the passage, do the following:
H- highlight the verses that stands out to you.
E – explain the verse(s) in your own words of what God is saying to you.
A – apply the verse to your life. (What would it look like to live this truth in your
life?)
R – respond in prayer by writing your heart to God.
Each of these four steps cultivates a heart-attitude to hear God speak.
Zoom into V. 21 - “His master said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant! You were faithful over a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Share your master’s joy.’” Reflect on the few things the Lord is calling you to become faithful to serve Him. (Maybe your family relationships, your witness to neighbors, your devotion to Him in prayer, your generosity to the mission of His church, etc.)
Respond in prayer – “Jesus, I believe You are coming again, and I desire to become a faithful servant. Empower me to be faithful to multiply the gifts You have entrusted to me, especially the gift of _________________, for I pray in Your powerful name, Amen!”
