Our focus this week in our walk with Jesus in His FINAL WEEK will be Peter’s denials of knowing Jesus in the courtyard of the High Priest. Let’s reflect on Luke’s Gospel chapter 22, verse 54 – 62. What stands out to you from your reading?
Let’s zoom into V. 54 – “They seized him, led him away, and brought him into the high priest’s house. Meanwhile Peter was following at a distance.”
What led up to Peter’s denials of Jesus? Notice – “Peter was following at a distance.” – i.e. he was walking in guilty distance to Jesus.
Pause & consider – Where are you in relation to Jesus? Are you walking with Him closely or is there a distance between you and him? Pray for a deepening closeness and intimacy with Jesus.
Respond to Jesus’ invitation, “Remain in Me and I in you.” (John 15: 5).
