Final Week Devo Day 56 - March 31

Today is the greatest day in human history, for this is the day our Living Lord rose from the grave, defeating death and hell forever! The early Christians would greet one another on Easter saying, “Christ is risen! He is risen indeed!” Let’s read the Gospel of Mark chapter 16 using the H.E.A.R. method. As you read the passage, do the following:
H- highlight the verses that stand out to you.
E – explain the verse(s) in your own words of what God is saying to you.
A – apply the verse to your life. (What would it look like to live this truth in your
life?)
R – respond in prayer by writing your heart to God.

Each of these four steps cultivates a heart-attitude to hear God speak.

Let’s zoom into V. 6 of the angel’s announcement on the first Easter morning – “Don’t be alarmed, You are looking for Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified. He has risen! He is not here. See the place where they put him.”

Pray – “Heavenly Father, I desire to lead my heart to respond to the angel’s announcement of not being afraid of death in light of Jesus’ resurrection. My heart is filled with ______________________________ and I pray many will believe on Jesus’ name today, Amen.”

Text, call, and invite someone to join you in worship at SBC to our Risen King!

Mary Magdalene and other women, early in the morning, go to Jesus' tomb with the spices they had prepared for his body. When the women arrive, they see the large stone that blocked entrance into the tomb moved away and an angel sitting on top of it. The angel then tells the women to enter the tomb.
The women, in the tomb, see a young man clothed in a white robe. He is sitting on the right side of where Jesus was laid. The man shows them that the body is gone. He tells the women to inform the disciples, especially Peter, that Jesus is alive.
