Raised to Walk Devo Day 18 - April 18

Let’s spend several days reading the letter to the Romans. Let’s prayerfuly reflect on
Romans chapter 3. As you read the passage, do the following:

H- highlight the verses that stand out to you.
E – explain the verse(s) in your own words of what God is saying to you.
A – apply the verse to your life. (What would it look like to live this truth in your life?)
R – respond in prayer by writing your heart to God.

Each of these four steps cultivates a heart-attitude to hear God speak.

Let’s Zero In to V. 23- “for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” How many
of us are affected by sin? The word ‘sin’ is an archery term which means ‘to miss the
mark.’ We all fall short of God’s perfect standards. But there is good news of a way to
become right with God by faith in Jesus. V. 22 – “the righteousness of god is through
faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe.”

Pause and Celebrate – “Abba Father, thank you that when I sinned and missed Your
mark of holiness, You sent Jesus as Your Perfect Son to be my perfect Savior who paid
a perfect price for my sin. I celebrate that when I believe on Jesus you place His perfect
righteousness to my account. I rejoice that I am one you love, forgive, redeem, and
accept. Hallelujah for Jesus, Amen!”
