Wow! What a great day of worship and fellowship at SBC yesterday! God is at
work, and He is calling us to live by faith to experience ‘Beyond Possible.’ This
week we will continue in the ‘hall of faith’ highlighting the faith of mothers
(preparing for Mother’s Day this Sunday, hint … hint ).
Let’s prayerfully read and reflect on Genesis chapter 18, verses 1 – 15. What is a
highlight from the reading? How would you explain this to a friend? How does it
apply to your life?
Let’s zero into Vs. 13–14 - But the LORD asked Abraham, “Why did Sarah laugh,
saying, ‘Can I really have a baby when I’m old?’ Is anything impossible for the
LORD? At the appointed time I will come back to you, and in about a year she will
have a son.”
Have any of God’s promises ever caused you to laugh? Maybe His promise to
provide for a need in Philippians 4: 16…. His promise of peace in perplexing times
- John 14: 27?
Pause and express with laughter and awe your belief in God’s promises to live
beyond the possible and natural limits of our world.
“Abba Father, with a smile on my face and laughter in my heart, I confess there
is nothing impossible for You! As I face the challenge of ____________________,
I place my faith in You to work this together for my good and Your glory, for I
humbly pray in Jesus’ name, Amen.”
