Beyond Possible Day 11 - May 9

Let’s prayerfully read and reflect on Genesis chapter 24. This entire chapter
focuses on a wife for Isaac, the one and only son of Abraham and Sarah. Highlight
any verses or phrases that stand out from today’s reading.

Let’s focus on the words of Abraham’s servant sent to find a wife for Isaac – Vs.
42–49
“Today when I came to the spring, I prayed: LORD, God of my master Abraham, if
only you will make my journey successful! ……Before I had finished praying
silently, there was Rebekah coming …. So I put the ring on her nose and the
bracelets on her wrists. Then I knelt low, worshiped the LORD, and blessed the
LORD, the God of my master Abraham, who guided me on the right way….. .”

Pause & Reflect – The same God who directed Abraham’s servant to find
Rebekah for Isaac is the same God who directs us today. What need in life do you
need God’s direction? Ask and listen to the Lord. Write your reflections in a journal
and pray through them until there is a breakthrough.

Has there been a time in the past when the Lord led you in a decision or path?
Look for an opportunity to share your story with someone. (ex. How you came to
faith in Christ, how your Lord led you on a career path or how you met a special
friend or spouse, etc). ”Share a reason for the hope within you” (1 Peter 3: 15).
