Wow! The book of Exodus is awesome; is it not? Let’s prayerfully reflect on
chapter 4. God called Moses to live ‘beyond possible’ and Moses felt he was
inadequate. Highlight verses to which you can relate.
Let’s Zoom into Vs. 10 – 12 - But Moses replied to the LORD, “Please, Lord, I have
never been eloquent… my mouth and my tongue are sluggish.” The LORD said to him, “Who placed a mouth on humans? Who makes a person mute or deaf, seeing or blind? Is it not I, the LORD? Now go! I will help you speak and I will teach you what to say.”
Reflect – Moses sensed inadequacy in his speech. What areas do you feel are the
most inadequate? Bring your inadequacy to the Lord in prayer.
“Abba Father, I know You love me and you are calling me to ‘live beyond possible.’
But I confess many times I do not feel adequate to do what You have called me to
do. I confess my inadequacy as ___________________________________. Just
as You promised Moses, I receive as Your promise to me personally – “I will help
you …. And I will teach you…” By faith, I will trust You to live ‘beyond possible’ to
be my adequate supply, for I pray in Jesus’ name, Amen!”
