Beyond Possible Day 22 - May 20

Let’s continue down “Faith’s Hall of Fame” by focusing on Joshua and what
occurred as he led the nation of Israel into the land promised by God (Mentioned
in Hebrews 11: 30,31). Read prayerfully the book of Joshua chapter 1. What can
you highlight that stands out to you from today’s reading? How would you explain
your highlight to a friend? What application does this have for challenges you are
facing? Lead your heart to respond to God in faith.

Let’s zoom into Vs. 8 – “This book of instruction must not depart from your mouth;
you are to meditate on it day and night so that you may carefully observe
everything written in it. For then you will prosper and succeed in whatever you do.”
Joshua’s only weapon against the armies of darkness was God’s Word. So it is for
us today as God has entrusted us with “the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word
of God.” Your devotion to God’s Word (reading, meditating, & speaking with
others) will determine the level of victory over the powers of darkness.

Take your Bible and hold it closely to your heart. Thank God for His Word; write out
a prayer in your journal of your love for His Word and desire to know Him more by
devotion to reflect in His Scriptures.

Consider writing Joshua 1: 9 on a card to a near one who is celebrating some
special transition in life (maybe graduation, end of the school year, wedding, etc). Use
this verse to write out a prayer on their behalf.
