This is the day the Lord has made; Come on, Let’s rejoice in it! Pray for an
outpouring of God’s Spirit in our worship service today. What seemed BEYOND
POSSIBLE in the life of Joseph was made possible by his faith in God. Let’s read
the last days of Joseph’s life in Genesis chapter 50. What stands out as a highlight
in your reading?
Let’s focus in on Vs. 24, 25 - Joseph said to his brothers, “I am about to die, but
God will certainly come to your aid and bring you up from this land to the land he
swore to give to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.” So Joseph made the sons of Israel
take an oath: “When God comes to your aid, you are to carry my bones up from
here.” What’s so significant about Joseph’s request that his bones would be
transported from Egypt to the land of Israel? See Hebrews 11: 22 for insight.
Pause and Reflect – What act of faith are you taking today that will be spoken of
you in the future? Express your heart to God in prayer.
