Beyond Possible Day 43 - June 10

Let’s continue on our BEYOND POSSIBLE study of Hebrews chapter 11 as we
focus on the life of Abraham as we prayerfully reflect on Vs. 8–10 –  “ By faith
Abraham, when he was called, obeyed and set out for a place that he was going to
receive as an inheritance. He went out, even though he did not know where he
was going. 9  By faith he stayed as a foreigner in the land of promise, living in tents
as did Isaac and Jacob, coheirs of the same promise. 10  For he was looking forward
to the city that has foundations, whose architect and builder is God.”

Let’s prayerfully read Genesis chapter 12 which is the background of Abraham’s
calling. What stands out as a highlight as you read this passage? How would you
explain this to a friend in your own words? (Write this down in your journal). What
does this do to your heart?

Let’s zero in on God’s “I WILL” promises to Abraham motivating his obedience to
God’s voice Vs. 1–4 - The LORD said to Abram: Go from your land, your relatives,
and your father’s house to the land that I WILL show you.   I WILL make you into a
great nation, I WILL bless you, I WILL make your name great, and you WILL be a
blessing.

I WILL bless those who bless you, I WILL curse anyone who treats you with
contempt, and all the people on earth WILL be blessed through you. ,
So Abram went, as the LORD had told him…..”

Pause and consider how God’s faithful calling and promises motivate your
obedience:

Mark 1:17 - “Follow me,” Jesus told them, “and I WILL MAKE YOU fish for,
people.”

1 Corinthians 1:9 –  “ God is faithful; you were called by him into fellowship
with his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.”

PRAYER PROMPT – “Abba Father, as I consider your I WILL promises to me, my
heart is moved to _________________________________. I desire to follow You
by faith wherever, with whoever, and whenever You call. I am Yours, for I humbly
pray in Jesus’ name, Amen.”
