Let’s prayerfully reflect on Judges chapter 6 as we see how “Gideon… by faith”
experience the BEYOND POSSIBLE. What are some highlights from today’s
reading? How might you explain them to a friend? What application can you make
to your life?
Let’s focus on Vs. 14–16 - The Lord turned to him (Gideon) and said, “Go in the
strength you have and deliver Israel from the grasp of Midian. I am sending you!”
15 He said to him, “Please, Lord, how can I deliver Israel? Look, my family is the
weakest in Manasseh, and I am the youngest in my father’s family.” 16 “But I will be with you,” the Lord said to him. “You will strike Midian down as if it were one man.”
Have you ever questioned the Lord’s commission of you to be sent on His mission
– like Gideon? “How can I be used of you? Look, how small and insignificant I am.”
God is not looking for ability, but the availably of a yielded heart. Hear Him say to
you – “I will be with you… you will do BEYOND POSSIBLE by your faith in Me.”
Write out a prayer expressing your availability to be used of the Lord. Prayerfully
look for opportunities to share ‘the reason of hope within you’ with ones in your
traffic pattern.
