Hebrews chapter 11, verses 32 – 40 records the story of Gideon, Samson, and
others who accomplished BEYOND POSSIBLE feats by faith in God. Let’s focus
on Samson’s faith by prayerfully reading Judges chapter 13. What stands out to
you as a highlight from today’s reading? How can you explain this to a
friend? Any application points for your life circumstance today?
Let’s focus on Vs.3 – 5 on the promise God gave to Samson’s parents concerning
his birth to deliver His people from the Philistines. The promise made by the angel
was fulfilled in Vs.24–25 – “So the woman gave birth to a son and named him
Samson. The boy grew, and the LORD blessed him. 25 Then the Spirit of the LORD
began to stir him in the Camp of Dan, between Zorah and Eshtaol.”
Reflect on this amazing truth: The same Spirit of God who stirred Samson lives in
you!
Prayer Prompt – “Abba Father, I am in awe of how Your Spirit stirs within me to
empower me to live a life of faith ‘beyond possible’ explanation – just like you did
Samson. The same Spirit who raised Jesus from the dead lives in me today to give
life to my body. I pray You will fill and thrill me with Your Spirit, for I humbly pray in
Jesus’ name, Amen.
