Samson’s life is amazing, isn’t it? He is accomplishing BEYOND POSSIBLE acts
that are ‘administering justice’ and setting armies to flight, just as Hebrews 11: 32 –
40 states. Let’s prayerfully reflect on Judges chapter 15. What stands out as a
highlight from today’s reading? What application can you make to your life?
Let’s zero into V. 19– “ So God split a hollow place in the ground at Lehi, and water
came out of it. After Samson drank, his strength returned, and he revived. That is
why he named it Hakkore Spring, which is still in Lehi today. 20 And he judged Israel
twenty years in the days of the Philistines.”
After a major battle, God saw Samson needed refreshment with water to revive.
Do you need reviving? During this fast-paced world, you can find yourself ‘living on
empty;’ pause and drink of the living water of Jesus; and allow your spirit to revive in
you. Following the most productive seasons of life and ministry, our souls need
rest. Be sure to have time to ‘vacate’ – change your place and find a new pace
with God.
Prayer prompt: “Heavenly Father, I am thirsty and I need the living water of Your
Son to refresh me. Show me a place and time for me to retreat to have a more
extended, uninterrupted time with You, for I humbly pray in Jesus’ name, Amen!”
