This week we will focus on the life of David. Hebrews 11: 32 highlights “David” as
one who lived by Faith in God and experienced the BEYOND POSSIBLE through
his life. Let’s prayerfully read 1 Samuel 16. What highlights stand out from your
reading?
Let’s focus on Vs. 7, 13 - But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not look at his
appearance or his stature because I have rejected him. Humans do not see what
the Lord sees, for humans see what is visible, but the Lord sees the heart.” So
Samuel took the horn of oil and anointed him in the presence of his brothers, and
the Spirit of the LORD came powerfully on David from that day forward.
When God looks for someone to use, What is His primary focus? God chose
David & He chooses you (by His amazing grace). What does that do to your heart?
Write out a prayer availing yourself to God and His Spirit.
