“By faith… David.” Let’s prayerfully read of David’s faith found in 1 Samuel 17,
verses 1 – 37. What stands out to you? What application can you make to your
life?
Even as a young man, David demonstrated bold believing faith. Zoom into V. 37 -
his statement to King Saul as he requests to face Goliath -
Then David said, “The Lord who rescued me from the paw of the lion and the paw
of the bear will rescue me from the hand of this Philistine.”
Saul said to David, “Go, and may the Lord be with you.”
David reflected on a past victory with a lion and bear which gave Him present
confidence of future victory over Goliath.
As you face new challenges, what past challenges has God given you victory in
the past 4 months? Celebrate these victories and pray into the present challenges
by faith assured the Lord is with you and He will fight for you.
