Let’s prayerfully read James chapter 1. (We will read this chapter each day for 7 days; repetition of Scripture is a healthy exercise in transforming our thoughts.) What is a highlight from today’s reading?
Let’s focus on Vs. 2 – 4. “Consider it a great JOY my brothers and sisters, whenever you experience various TRIALS, because you know that the testing of your faith produces endurance. And let endurance have its full effect, so that you may be mature and complete, lacking nothing.”
Pause & Respond: Think of a recent trial you have experienced ( I.E. - serious illness, family conflict, or disappointment). Write a prayer in your journal on what God taught you and how He used it to teach or develop you. Share your prayer with someone close to you to discuss.
