BLESS Every Home Devo Day 51 - October 15

Let’s set our hearts on H.E.A.R. (ing) from the Lord as we prayerfully read the Gospel of Luke, chapter 9.
  • H. – highlight – i.e. Prayerfully take time to highlight or underline the words or phrases that stick out most to you.
  • E. – explain - Thoughtfully write out in your own words what you understand and why it’s significant.
  • A. – apply – i.e. – consider ways this passage connects to your life.
  • R. – respond – i.e. – prayerful response with your heart to the Word for transformation.

Write your responses to your H.E.A.R. prompts and discuss with a near one or group. Look for opportunities ‘to do the book’ in your daily traffic patterns.

Let’s FOCUS on Vs. 10 17 – Jesus is involved with another meal and eating.
Jesus fed 5,000 people (not including women and children) who had come to hear him speak. He didn’t have to feed them. After all, they were getting fed the truth. Wasn’t that enough?
Jesus knew they also had physical needs. Meeting the basic physical needs of people often ministers more than words and ultimately gives you a kind of integrity that can lead to a deeper conversation.

THINK ABOUT IT...
  • Is someone in your neighborhood hungry or thirsty (for fellowship)?
  • What physical need of your neighbor can you meet that may lead to a deeper conversation about spiritual things?
