Let’s prayerfully read & reflect on 1 Corinthians chapter 10, verses 23 – 33.
Using the H.E.A.R. method, what are some words or phrases that are highlight to you?
How would you explain to a friend? What application can you make to your life? What heart
response can you have to God at the point of His Word?
Let’s FOCUS ON V. 23 - “Everything is permissible,” but not everything is beneficial. “Everything is permissible,” but not everything builds up.”
This text is speaking of ‘Christian liberty’ i.e. activities that are not clearly prohibited by Scripture but maybe a matter of conscience or personal conviction to avoid.
This text is certainly true about our diets, but also about our daily choices.
PAUSE & PRAY:
Heavenly Father, are there anythings that I doing that may not be building up friends or family?
Help me to stop anything that would hurt another believer and may I pursue only what builds up, for I humbly pray in Jesus’ name, Amen.
