Have you ever wondered why there is structure and order in the church? Let’s prayerfully read 1 Corinthians 14: 26 – 40 to gain insight.
Using the H.E.A.R. method, what words or phrases are highlighted to you? How would you explain this to a friend? What application can you make to your life? What heart response can you have to God at the point of His Word?
Write your response down to cultivate the habit of ‘journaling with God.’
LET’S ZOOM INTO V. 26, 33 – “Everything is to be done for building up…since God is not a God of disorder but of peace. As in all the churches of the saints.”
Pray – for the SBC family to be unified around the person and mission of Jesus.

- Each of our worship gatherings and small group Bible studies has the purpose to build up one another in the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ.
- Each quarter our church family gathers on a Sunday afternoon at 2 p.m. to discuss the mission, vision, finances, and ministries of the church. We hear reports from our leaders and committees and at times we make significant decisions by voting.
Pray – for the SBC family to be unified around the person and mission of Jesus.
- For our pastors to be led by the Spirit and effectively cast the vision and strategic goals clearly to the church.
- For members to serve the vision to accomplish God’s work in our community.
