Let’s continue our reading & reflecting through Luke’s Gospel chapter 2, focusing on verses 1 – 20, giving special attention to verses 8 – 14.
LET’S ZERO INTO THE GOSPEL Vs. 10–11 - But the angel said to them, “Don’t be afraid, for look, I proclaim to you good news of great joy that will be for all the people: 11 Today in the city of David a Savior was born for you, who is the Messiah, the Lord.”
PRAY FOR AN OPPORTUNITY TO SHARE THE GOSPEL in the next 24 hours :
“Father God, I realize the greatest news ever given to man is the arrival of a King who is the Lord of the universe who came to save us from our sins. As I think of how You have saved me, I pray to share Your Good news with ____________________________. Fill me with Your Spirit to share the hope You have given me; may I impart hope, for I humbly pray in Jesus’ name, Amen”
- Who did God choose to be the first to hear the Gospel of the Savior’s birth? ______________
- Does this surprise you? It is surprising the angels would be sent to lowly shepherds, yet is it not equally startling that God would allow His gracious calling to come to you and me?
- Let’s celebrate His gracious calling of you by musing over 1 Corinthians 1: 26 – 31.
