Now Is The Time Devotional - January 20

Praise God for an amazing day of worship and ministry of the Word from Malachi on the importance of healthy marriages and relationships. Let’s read and reflect on the Gospel of Mark chapter 10, the Words of Jesus explaining God’s heart for our homes and relationships.  

Let’s explore this Scripture together – 

• V. 2 – The Pharisees ask – “Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife?”
• V. 5 – Why did Moses in the giving of the law permit divorce? “Because of the ________________________” How would you describe this condition in a relationship? _________________________________________________. Can you think of a time this has occurred in your relationships? How did you experience healing? Consider someone who could benefit from your story of hope. 
• V. 6 – 9 – What is God’s intention for marriage? __________________________. Marriage is not to be a probational agreement, but a permanent covenant. 

PAUSE & PRAY – What relationship in your life seems impossible? Pray claiming Jesus’ words from V.27 – “Heavenly Father, I confess a struggle with what at times seems impossible in my relationship with ____________________________________. By faith, I pray for reconciliation and healing, trusting in Your Words – “all things are possible with God” for I humbly pray in Jesus’ name, Amen.” 

Now – Go in faith & watch expectantly for God’s working in this relationship.
