A Day to Reflect & Meditate
As we near the end of our six-week deep dive into Galatians, let’s take extra time today to meditate on what we’ve been learning through our reading and prayerful reflection.
The great reformer Martin Luther once said about this epistle:
“The Epistle to the Galatians is my epistle. To it I am, as it were, in wedlock. It is my Katie.”
Luther deeply cherished Galatians because it so clearly proclaims the freedom of the gospel—that we are saved by grace through faith, not by our works.
Today, let’s prayerfully read chapters 1–3 and allow God’s truth to sink deeper into our hearts. Tomorrow, we will continue by reflecting on chapters 4–6 as we review our journey through this powerful letter.
Engage with Galatians 1-3
Here are some questions to help you reflect and engage with the first three chapters:
Spend some time in stillness before the Lord. Ask Him to deepen your understanding of grace and to show you any areas where you need to trust Him more fully.
Prayer
Lord, thank You for the life-changing truth of Galatians. Help me to fully embrace the freedom I have in Christ. Open my eyes to any ways I am still clinging to works instead of grace. Let my heart rest in the finished work of Jesus, and teach me to live by faith. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Engage with Galatians 1-3
Here are some questions to help you reflect and engage with the first three chapters:
- Galatians 1: Paul strongly defends the true gospel against distortion. What are some ways people today still try to add to or change the gospel message? How does Paul’s defense of grace challenge you?
- Galatians 2: Paul emphasizes that we are justified by faith in Christ alone. How does this truth shape your daily walk with God? Are there areas in your life where you struggle to fully embrace grace?
- Galatians 3: Paul explains how we are heirs of God’s promise through faith, not by the law. What does it mean to live by faith rather than relying on your own efforts?

- What truth from Galatians 1-3 is standing out to you today?
- How will you apply it to your life?
